ACORE Capital, a commercial real estate investment manager with more than $17 billion in assets, has launched ACORE Capital Wealth Solutions, a platform aimed at financial advisors and their high-net-worth clients.
Mick Manning will lead the new platform as president, overseeing strategy, product development and distribution. He joins ACORE from Apollo's bridge investment group, where he was a managing director and head of national sales within the client solutions group, leading distribution to RIAs and broker/dealers. He previously served as managing director and head of capital markets at Forum Investment Group, and as chief executive of KBS Capital Markets Group and Pacific Oak Capital Markets.
The platform will offer real estate credit and equity investment opportunities to high-net-worth investors. That is a distribution build as much as a product one: the executive hired to run it spent his most recent role selling into the same RIA and broker/dealer channel the new unit is courting.
"Launching ACORE Capital Wealth Solutions is a natural extension of the platform we have built over the past decade," chief executive Warren de Haan said in a statement. He said the firm continues to see "meaningful opportunity and deal flow" across the business, and that expanding into this investor channel lets ACORE invest additional capital while deepening its relationships with borrowers.
Morningstar and Bountiful Financial target faith-based portfolios
Bountiful Financial is working with Morningstar Sustainalytics and Morningstar Indexes to support the development of faith-based investment offerings, which are meant to align portfolios with religious principles across the investment process, from research and screening through index implementation.
The division of labor runs from the framework outward. Bountiful defines and maintains the faith-based frameworks for Catholics, Evangelical Christians and Latter-day Saints; Morningstar Sustainalytics provides company-level research and screening data applied within those frameworks; and Morningstar Indexes supplies the index infrastructure and calculation capabilities for investable benchmark offerings.
